Capehart Shareholder Addresses Workers' Compensation Issues

Mt. Laurel, NJ - - Capehart Scatchard executive committee member, John H. Geaney, Esq. recently presented "Workers' Compensation Overview and Medical Issues" at Procura in Cranford, New Jersey.

In his presentation, Mr. Geaney addressed what should be done from a medical standpoint when a claimant is injured at work. He also discussed the key statutes and defenses in New Jersey workers' compensation matters.

Mr. Geaney, a resident of Moorestown, is the author of Geaney's New Jersey Manual on Workers' Compensation and a Guide to Employment Issues under the ADA and FMLA, both of which are distributed by the New Jersey Institute of Continuing Legal Education.

Mr. Geaney, certified by the Supreme Court of New Jersey as a Workers' Compensation Law attorney, is a Fellow of the College of Workers' Compensation Lawyers. He is a member of the Burlington County Bar Association and New Jersey State Bar Association, where he serves on the Board of Directors of The Certified Trial Attorney Section. Mr. Geaney is active in the National Council of Self-Insurers as well as the New Jersey Self Insurers Association (Membership and Program Committees).
