Capehart Scatchard Lawyers Recognized As Rising Stars
Mt. Laurel, NJ - - Capehart Scatchard is pleased to announce that the following attorneys have recently been named New Jersey Super Lawyers - Rising Stars 2008 as voted by their peers and facilitated by Law & Politics and New Jersey Monthly: Prudence M. Higbee and LaTonya N. Bland.
Ms. Higbee, a Washington Township resident, focuses her practice in the representation of employers, self-insured companies, and insurance carriers in workers' compensation defense matters.
Among her professional activities, she is a member of the American, New Jersey State (Workers' Compensation Division) and Gloucester County Bar Associations. Additionally, Ms. Higbee is a alumni member of the Phi Delta Phi, Harrington Inn Honors Chapter.
Ms. Higbee received her law degree from Widener University School of Law, where she was a member of the Widener Law Symposium Journal, and her B.A. degree from Rowan University. Prior to joining the Firm, Ms. Higbee served as a Judicial Clerk to the Honorable Samuel G. DeSimone, Assignment Judge of Vicinage 15. She is admitted to practice law in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
Ms. Bland concentrates her practice in general litigation matters including employment discrimination, defense of public entities; construction litigation, municipal court practice; and tort defense.
Among her professional activities, Ms. Bland serves on the Board of Directors of the Settlement Music School, Camden School of Musical Arts Branch and Center for Family Services, Inc. She is a member of the Garden State, Burlington, and Camden Bar Associations.
Ms. Bland received her law degree from Rutgers University School of Law - Camden and her bachelor's degree from Howard University. Ms. Bland is admitted to practice law in New Jersey.
