Capehart Employment Lawyers Address Record Keeping Issues
Mt. Laurel, NJ - - Capehart attorneys, Robert J. Hagerty, Esq., Carol L. Jennings, Esq. and Stephen J. Alexander, Esq. recently presented a seminar entitled "From Hiring to Record Keeping: Business and Employment Law Issues" at the Doubletree Guest Suites in Mt. Laurel, New Jersey.
The attorneys spoke on various employment and business law issues that every business needs to be aware of, including negligent hiring, permissible interviewing questions and practices, performing background checks, privacy issues surrounding employment records and record retention requirements.
In addition to his responsibilities as Chair of Capehart Scatchard's Labor & Employment and Environmental/OSHA Groups, Mr. Hagerty, a Moorestown resident, concentrates his practice in employment law and routinely represents employers before state and federal courts, and administrative agencies in the defense of harassment, discrimination, wrongful discharge, employment contracts, restrictive covenants, trade secret, and whistleblower matters.
Ms. Jennings, a Mt. Laurel resident, concentrates her practice in litigation, construction, transportation, commercial and employment areas and also litigates, drafts and provides advise regarding non-competition agreements, non-solicitation and non-disclosure agreements.
Mr. Alexander, a resident and Mayor of Upper Freehold, focuses his practice in employment law, tort litigation, contracts, and subrogation. He provides advice, counseling and training to corporate clients, drafts corporate documents, employment manuals, policies, and agreements.
