Commercial Litigation Shareholder Addresses Sterling Education Services Attendees
Mt. Laurel, NJ - - Capehart Scatchard Shareholder, Alan P. Fox, Esq. recently spoke in Cherry Hill, New Jersey at the Landlord-Tenant Law Update sponsored by Sterling Education Services.
In his presentation, Mr. Fox spoke on issues related to when a tenant or landlord files for bankruptcy protection. His presentation covered issues arising from the automatic stay, the treatment of leases and executory contracts in bankruptcy cases, and the calculation of damages following rejection of real property leases. He discussed strategies for both landlords and tenants in the bankruptcy courts. Additionally, he provided the audience with information related to drafting commercial leases and state court litigation related to commercial leases.
Mr. Fox, a Voorhees resident, has developed his practice in the areas of commercial litigation, commercial transactions, bankruptcy, business law, real estate, zoning and land use law. His commercial litigation experience covers a wide variety of industries, including real estate development, shopping centers, banking, landscape, manufacturing, construction, solar energy, rail road and wholesale floral.
He is a member of the New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Camden County Bar Associations ( member of the Camden County and New Jersey Debtor/Creditor Sections) and is admitted to practice in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Mr. Fox received his law degree from California Western School of Law and his B.A. degree in Economics from Rutgers College.
