Richard T. DeCou, Esq. Receives Award From Professional Association
Mt. Laurel, NJ - - Shareholder, Richard T. DeCou, Esq., was recently presented with the 2011 Founders' Award by the Estate and Financial Planning Council of Southern New Jersey on June 9 th at the annual Installation of Officers Dinner . Additionally, Yasmeen S. Khaleel, Esq., Trusts and Estates Department Shareholder, was sworn in as Treasurer of the Council.
The Estate and Financial Planning Council of Southern New Jersey, Inc. is a professional association of estate and financial planning practitioners in the Southern New Jersey region. The Founders' Award is presented to an individual who has provided distinguished service to the estate and financial planning profession.
Mr. DeCou concentrates his practice in tax-related matters including estate planning, and estate and trust administration, real estate, corporate and business matters. He represents both individuals and corporate fiduciaries in all aspects of estate planning and administration. He is a member of the New Jersey, Burlington and Camden County Bar Associations and the Moorestown Rotary Club.
Mr. DeCou received his law degree, cum laude, from the University of Pennsylvania School of Law where he was a Member of the Law Review. He received his B.A. degree in Political Science from Stanford University. Upon graduating from law school, Mr. DeCou served as an Attorney-Advisor to the Hon. Howard A. Dawson, Jr. at the United States Tax Court in Washington, DC.
Ms. Khaleel, a Mount Laurel resident, and member of the Trusts and Estates Department, concentrates her practice in the areas of estate planning, estate and trust administration, business succession planning, transactional and tax planning. She routinely handles matters of special needs planning including guardianship applications. Additionally, she has experience in complex estate and trust litigation matters in conjunction with the Litigation Group
