School Law Attorneys Address School Business Professionals
Mt. Laurel, NJ - - Capehart Scatchard school lawyers, Joseph F. Betley and Robert A. Muccilli recently spoke at the New Jersey Association of School Business Officials Annual Conference in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
Mr. Betley and Mr. Muccilli , both Mt. Laurel residents, spoke on the topic of "Writing an Effective Evaluation for Support Staff- The Good, The Bad and The Ugly." Their presentation focused on why evaluations are important for both tenured and non-tenured employees.
Mr. Betley concentrates his practice on defense labor and employment law, civil rights and school law matters, including special education issues. He is a member of the National School Boards Association, the New Jersey School Boards Association, the New Jersey State, and Burlington County Bar Associations. He is also an associate counsel for the New Jersey League of Municipalities. He has been named as a 2009 Super Lawyer as voted by his peers and facilitated by Law & Politics and

. Mr. Betley received his B.A. degree,
with highest honors, from Bentley College and his law degree,
cum laude, from Villanova University School of Law. He is admitted to practice law in New Jersey.
Focusing his practice in school law matters with an emphasis on special education issues, Mr. Muccilli has represented school districts with respect to a variety of special education issues including questions pertaining to inclusion, least restrictive environment, discipline, behavior management, transition, evaluation, discrete trial instruction, medically fragile students, dyslexia, Down Syndrome, Aspergers Syndrome, and equal access to activities and services for disabled individuals. He received his B.A. degree, Phi Beta Kappa, from Trinity College and his law degree from Vanderbilt University School of Law. Mr. Muccilli is admitted to practice law in New Jersey and Washington, DC.
