Capehart Scatchard Shareholder Addresses North Carolina Bar Association

Mt. Laurel, NJ – Noted estate planning attorney, Thomas D. Begley, III was the keynote speaker at the 17th Annual Elder Law Symposium sponsored by the North Carolina Bar Association at the Pine Needles Conference Center in Southern Pines, NC. Begley detailed the manner in which an attorney represents individuals with disabilities along with their families.

Thomas D. Begley, III Begley stated, “It was humbling to speak before this wonderful group of attorneys who are so passionate about advocating for the elderly and disabled. My objective, in this area, is not only to teach the techniques which are available to assist those affected by disabilities but to stress that they need to be respected and treated as individuals rather than a group which should be subjected to a rubber stamp legal approach.” A resident of Moorestown, Mr. Begley is the Chair of the Trusts and Estates Group at Capehart Scatchard. In 2012 he was named for the third consecutive year as one of the top lawyers in New Jersey by Super Lawyers. He is a Certified Elder Law Attorney who received his law and undergraduate degrees from Georgetown University.
