Kristen Mowery


Ms. Mowery’s areas of practice include healthcare transactional, regulatory, and litigation matters, as well as trademark matters. Her work in healthcare transactions focuses on preparing employment agreements and commercial leases for medical practices and assisting with purchases and sales of medical practices. Ms. Mowery’s experience in healthcare litigation matters includes assisting in defending physicians and other medical professionals against various claims such as alleged tortious interference with contractual relations and HIPAA violations. Her trademark experience includes conducting trademark availability and clearance searches, filing applications and maintenance filings with the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office, analyzing and preparing responses to complex office actions issued by the USPTO, and advising clients on overall trademark portfolio development and management.

Prior to joining Capehart Scatchard, Ms. Mowery served as a Legal Extern to the Honorable Robert B. Kugler of the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey.  She also served as Executive Managing Editor for the Drexel Law Review while earning her Juris Doctorate from Drexel University Thomas R. Kline School of Law.
