Mt. Laurel, NJ – – Capehart Scatchard is pleased to announce that the following shareholders have recently been named “Super Lawyers” as voted by their peers and facilitated by Law & Politics and New Jersey Monthly: Peter S. Bejsiuk; John K. Fiorilla, John H. Geaney, and Robert J. Hagerty.

In addition to his responsibilities as Chair of Capehart Scatchard’s Labor & Employment and Environmental/OSHA Groups, Mr. Hagerty, a Moorestown resident, concentrates his practice in employment law and routinely represents employers before state and federal courts, and administrative agencies in the defense of harassment, discrimination, wrongful discharge, employment contracts, restrictive covenants, trade secret, and whistleblower matters.

Among his professional activities, Mr. Hagerty is a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, one of the most prestigious groups of trial lawyers in the United States, and is an “AV” attorney rated by Martindale-Hubbell. He is also a member of the Society for Human Resource Management and the Tri-State Human Resource Management Association. He served as the Chair of the South Jersey Branch of the Reitman Employment Inn of Court for the 1997-1999 and 1999-2001 terms. He received the David Solomon Award in the 1997-1999 Term. He currently serves as Treasurer for the Inn.

As member of the Firm’s executive committee, Mr. Geaney, a resident of Moorestown, is the author of Geaney’s New Jersey Workers’ Compensation Manual and A Guide to Employment Issues Under the ADA & FMLA co-distributed by the Firm and the New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education. Certified as a trial attorney by the Supreme Court of New Jersey in Workers’ Compensation Law, Mr. Geaney concentrates his practice in the representation of employers in workers’ compensation defense matters, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and the Family and Medical Leave Act.

Mr. Fiorilla, a Cinnaminson resident, focuses his practice in the railroad industry and helping to create and present railroad management policy and positions with diversified management and litigation experience as both in-house counsel and local counsel for Class I, Class II, and Shortline Railroads. He has specific experience in presenting finance, real estate, operations, engineering, government affairs, and customer service positions.

Among his professional activities, Mr. Fiorilla is a member of the National Association of Railroad Trial Counsel; the American Shortline & Regional Railroad Association; the Association for Transportation Law, Logistics, and Policy; the Conference of Freight Counsel; the Surface Transportation Board in Washington; the American and New Jersey State ( Federal Practice and Procedure Section) Bar Associations.

In addition to his responsibilities as Managing Shareholder, Mr. Bejsiuk, a Moorestown resident, focuses his practice on business and banking representation and litigation; real estate and land use; finance and banking law; franchise law; and bankruptcy and workouts.

He also handles matters such as business formation and planning, reorganizations, mergers, acquisitions, dissolutions, commercial leasing, joint ventures, secured and unsecured transactions, closely-held businesses, non-profit and tax-exempt organizations, Internet and e-commerce law, and technology licensing.
