Yasmeen Khaleel Named NJBIZ “Leader In Law”

Capehart Scatchard is pleased to announce that Executive Committee member Yasmeen S. Khaleel, Esq., has been named by NJBIZ as a “Leader in Law.”   The NJBIZ “Leaders in Law” program honors attorneys who are dedicated to their occupation and their communities. Following an open nomination period, honorees were chosen by a panel of independent judges with experience in the justice system.  Ms. Khaleel was nominated by Friedman LLP partner, Mark Nicastro, CPA, MST.  Ms. Khaleel and the other honorees will be recognized at a virtual ceremony to be held on May 13, 2021.

Ms. Khaleel, a Mount Laurel resident, concentrates her practice in the representation of individuals, business owners, medical, dental and other professionals in the areas of estate planning, estate and trust administration, business succession planning, transactional and tax planning. She routinely handles matters of special needs planning including guardianship applications. Additionally, she is experienced in handling complex business/estate and trust litigation matters in conjunction with the Litigation Group.

She received her LL.M. degree from Temple University James E. Beasley School of Law, her law degree from Seton Hall School of Law, and her B.A. degree, with honors, from Lafayette College.  Ms. Khaleel is admitted to practice law in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

Ms. Khaleel is the past president of the Estate and Financial Planning Council of Southern New Jersey, is on the board of directors for the Animal Welfare Association, is a committee member of the Samaritan Hospice and Health Care Planned Giving Committee, and is a committee member of the Indian Cultural Center – Asian Indian Professionals Scholarships Committee (formerly the Asian Indian Professionals, Inc.).

Khaleel, was presented with the 2020 Founder’s Award by the Estate and Financial Planning Council of Southern New Jersey (“EFPCSNJ”) on January 21, 2021.  The award was presented during a virtual meeting of the organization.  Established in 2001, the Founder’s Award is presented to an individual who has provided distinguished service to the estate and financial planning profession.

Renee C. Vidal Joins Capehart Scatchard

Capehart Scatchard is pleased to announce that Renee C. Vidal, Esq. has recently joined its Business & Tax and Wills, Estates & Trusts Groups as a Shareholder in its Mount Laurel, NJ office.

Ms. Vidal concentrates her practice in estate planning, estate administration, business and corporate services and elder law. Mt. Laurel, NJ – – Capehart Scatchard is pleased to announce that Douglas M. Nelson, Esq. has recently joined the Firm’s Trust and Estates Group in its Mt. Laurel office.

Mr. Nelson, a Delran resident, concentrates his practice in probate litigation, estate administration and estate planning.

Mr. Nelson received his law degree from Seton Hall University School of Law, magna cum laude and his B.A. degree  in Political Science from the University of Delaware.  Upon law school graduation, Mr. Nelson worked as a law clerk to the Honorable Karen L.
