Kids’ Chance of NJ

Attorneys from Capehart Scatchard’s Workers’ Compensation Department recently participated in the 11th Annual Bowl for the Kids event hosted by Kids’ Chance of New Jersey. Held on March 5, 2026, at Colonial Bowling in Lawrenceville, the annual fundraiser benefits Kids’ Chance, Inc., a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing scholarships and educational opportunities to children of workers who have suffered fatal or catastrophic workplace injuries.

Demonstrating its continued commitment to supporting injured workers and their families, Capehart Scatchard proudly served as an event sponsor, helping to raise critical funds to advance the organization’s mission.

Attorneys and staff from Capehart Scatchard’s Workers’ Compensation Department recently attended the Eleventh Annual Fundraising Gala and Auction for Kids’ Chance of New Jersey (“KCNJ”). The event was held on July 24, 2025, at the Hilton in East Brunswick, N.J.

Kids’ Chance of New Jersey is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing scholarships for college and vocational education to the children of workers who have been fatally or catastrophically injured in workplace accidents. John Geaney, Co-Chair of the Workers’ Compensation Department, serves as a member of KCNJ’s Board of Directors. Marketing Department Co-Directors, Carol Wright and Beth Hopkins, serve as members of the Active Founder Board and Advisory Board, respectively.

A highlight of the evening was the presentation of scholarships to 21 students whose parents have experienced life-altering work-related injuries or fatalities.  Capehart Scatchard was honored to co-sponsor the scholarship awarded to Benjamin Moskovitz, a third-year student at the University of Delaware. Benjamin’s father was permanently disabled due to a severe back injury sustained on the job.

Capehart Scatchard remains committed to supporting the education and future of children affected by workplace accidents and is proud to contribute to the mission of Kids’ Chance of New Jersey.

Attorneys from Capehart Scatchard’s Workers’ Compensation Department recently participated in the 10th Annual Kids’ Chance of New Jersey’s Bowl for the Kids event. The fundraiser, which took place on March 6, 2025, at Colonial Bowling in Lawrenceville, was organized to support Kids’ Chance, Inc., a non-profit dedicated to providing educational opportunities and scholarships to the children of workers who have suffered fatal or catastrophic injuries on the job.

As part of its commitment to the cause, Capehart Scatchard proudly served as an event sponsor, helping to raise funds for this important initiative.

Attorneys from Capehart Scatchard’s Workers’ Compensation Department recently played a round of golf at the 3rd Annual Kids’ Chance of New Jersey’s Golf Outing. The firm was the sign sponsor for the event held at the Scotland Run Golf Club located in Williamstown, New Jersey on September 30, 2024.

All proceeds from the golf tournament will be used to support the mission of Kids’ Chance of New Jersey to provide scholarships for college and vocational education to children of New Jersey workers who have been fatally or catastrophically injured in a work-related accident.
