Capehart Scatchard proudly congratulates Karen V. Vincent, a shareholder in the Workers’ Compensation Department, on successfully completing the 130th Boston Marathon on April 20, 2026.  Nicknamed “the unicorn marathon,” Boston is the most competitive marathon to qualify for and the oldest in the country. With this achievement, Ms. Vincent has now completed five of the seven World Marathons Majors, with just two more remaining.

Ms. Vincent crossed the finish line with an impressive performance while raising more than $11,000 in support of the American Liver Foundation, further demonstrating her commitment to making a meaningful impact beyond her professional work.

A respected leader in workers’ compensation law, Ms. Vincent brings over 20 years of litigation experience to her practice. She represents employers, self-insured companies, and insurance carriers in workers’ compensation defense matters. Her dedication to advocacy extends beyond the courtroom, as demonstrated in her ongoing support of charitable initiatives.

Ms. Vincent earned her J.D. from Widener University School of Law and a B.A degree from Colorado State University. She is a member of the American Bar Association, New Jersey State Bar Association, Association of Trial Lawyers of America, Justice James H. Coleman, Jr. Inn of Court, and New Jersey Association for Justice. She is admitted to practice law in New Jersey and the United States Supreme Court.

Alan P. Fox, a shareholder in the firm’s Real Estate & Land Use and Alternative Energy Departments, recently attended the 13th Annual “Recovery for Life Gala,” a fundraising event benefiting Maryville Integrated Care. The firm was a bronze sponsor of the event, which took place at Tavistock Country Club on March 27, 2026.

The annual Gala is dedicated to celebrating recovery while raising vital funds for programs that assist individuals and families in the local community impacted by substance abuse and mental health challenges.

Capehart Scatchard was a Silver sponsor of Samaritan’s 2026 Celebration of Life Gala, held on February 7, 2026, at Live! Casino Philadelphia. Workers’ Compensation Department attorneys John W. Pszwaro and Jason Sikoryak represented the firm at the event.

The annual Gala supports Samaritan’s mission to provide hospice, grief support, palliative, and primary care services. In addition to fundraising, the event celebrated Samaritan’s 45 years of delivering life-enhancing care to more than 11,000 families each year throughout Atlantic, Burlington, Camden, Gloucester, and Mercer Counties. Vincent, a Shareholder in the firm’s Workers’ Compensation Department, on successfully completing the 2025 BMW Berlin Marathon on September 21, 2025. Running in record-breaking heat, Ms. Vincent crossed the finish line strongly, raising more than $2,500 for WellChild, a UK-based charity dedicated to supporting seriously ill children and their families.

This marks Ms. Vincent’s second marathon in just 21 days, as well as her fourth completed World Marathon Major and fourth Abbott World Marathon Majors Star. This is a remarkable achievement reflecting both athletic endurance and personal commitment.

On Sunday, September 21, 2025, Capehart Scatchard Business Litigation Department shareholder Vince Cieslik chaired the Paul VI High School Alumni Run, Walk, and Bike Ride held at Cooper River Park in Pennsauken, New Jersey. Vince serves as the Alumni Association President of Paul VI, where he graduated in 1990. He has chaired the event for several years and expanded it recently to include walkers and bike riders to increase participation.

Paul VI alumni from over fifteen separate class years, as well as over fifty student athletes from Paul VI’s cross country, track, and sports programs, packed the Cooper River Loop to support their school and its programs. Father Peter Gallagher won the 5K race, scorching the 3.1-mile course in one of the fastest times in recent years. After the run/walk/biking was done, participants enjoyed food and drinks and reminisced about old times at LaScala’s Birra. Proceeds from the event support the school and the track and cross country programs.

Paul VI is a Catholic high school located on Hopkins Avenue in Haddon Township, New Jersey. In addition to serving as the Alumni Association President, Vince has donated his time and efforts over the years to assist as a volunteer coach for the track and cross country programs.  All three of his children graduated from Paul VI High School, and his entire family participated in the walk/run/bike event.

Ms. Vincent ran in support of Children with Cancer UK, a leading charity dedicated to improving survival rates and quality of life of young cancer patients. Through her efforts, she raised more than $1,500 to help advance the organization’s mission of ensuring that every child and young person survives cancer.

The Gala is a special evening focused on celebrating recovery and raising critical funds to help individuals and families in the local community impacted by substance abuse and mental health challenges.

Capehart Scatchard is honored to have been a sponsor of Monte Carlo Night 2025, an annual fundraising event benefiting Legacy Treatment Services. The event took place on March 22, 2025, at The Merion in Cinnaminson, NJ. Sergio I. Scuteri, Shareholder in the firm’s Commercial Litigation practice, has been a dedicated Board Member of The Legacy Foundation for over 10 years.

The Legacy Foundation is the primary fundraising, development, marketing, donor, and community relations arm for Legacy Treatment Services. Its primary mission is to secure funding from a variety of public and private benefactors as well as bring awareness of the program and services associated with Legacy in their continuum of care.

Over the past several weeks, attorneys and staff at the firm have been actively participating in a toy drive to benefit Partners for Kids and Families, Inc., a non-profit organization. The charity, which serves children ages 5-18 facing behavioral and emotional challenges in the Burlington County area, will receive a generous donation of toys from the firm.

On December 13, 2024, the collected toys will be delivered to Partners for Kids and Families at their Mount Holly, New Jersey location. Capehart Scatchard is proud to support this important cause and help bring joy to children in need this holiday season.
