Capehart Scatchard is pleased to announce that Laurel B. Peltzman has rejoined the firm as a shareholder in its Employment & Labor Department, based in the Mt. Laurel office.

Ms. Peltzman previously practiced with Capehart Scatchard from 2010 to 2018, then continued her employment law practice at two local firms before joining Rutgers University’s Office of Employment Equity, where she handled employee disability, religious, and pregnancy accommodations and compliance matters.

Ms. Peltzman focuses her practice on the representation of public and private sector employers in the areas of labor, employment, and civil rights law matters, including workplace investigations, discrimination and retaliation claims, and collective bargaining matters.

Ms. Peltzman earned her Juris Doctor from Rutgers University School of Law in Camden, where she served as Submissions Editor of the Rutgers Journal of Law and Public Policy. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice and Sociology from Rutgers University in New Brunswick. Ms. Peltzman is admitted to practice law in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

Capehart Scatchard is pleased to announce that Amos Brunson Jr., Esq. has recently joined its Litigation Department as a shareholder in its New York office.

Mr. Brunson focuses his practice on all aspects of tort defense, premise liability, products liability, construction defect and bodily injury, New York State Labor Law, property damage, and motor vehicle litigation.

He earned his J.D. from Albany Law School of Union University and a B.A. degree in Communications from the University at Albany. Mr. Brunson is admitted to practice law in New York.

Capehart Scatchard is pleased to announce that Lindsay S. Romeo, Esq. has recently joined its School Law Department as an associate in its Mount Laurel, NJ office.

Ms. Romeo concentrates her practice on the representation of boards of education and school districts in all areas of education law including labor and employment, special education, Section 504, student discipline, student records, Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act, Anti-Bullying Bill of Rights Act, School Ethics Act, student residency, civil rights, tenure, negotiations, Open Public Records Act, and Open Public Meetings Act.

She earned her J.D. from Drexel University Thomas R. Kline School of Law and a B.S. degree in Education & Special Education from Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania. Ms. Romeo is admitted to practice law in New Jersey.

Capehart Scatchard is pleased to announce that Crosley L. Gagnon, Esq. has recently joined its School Law Department as an associate in its Mount Laurel, NJ office.

Ms. Gagnon concentrates her practice on the representation of boards of education and school districts in all areas of education law including labor and employment, special education, Section 504, student discipline, student records, Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act, Anti-Bullying Bill of Rights Act, School Ethics Act, student residency, civil rights, tenure, negotiations, Open Public Records Act, and Open Public Meetings Act.

Ms. Gagnon previously worked as a summer law clerk at the firm. She earned her J.D. from Rutgers Law School in Camden and a B.S. degree in Hospitality Business Management from the University of Delaware.  Upon law school graduation, Ms. Gagnon worked as a law clerk to the Honorable Richard J. Nocella, J.S.C.  in Burlington County.  She is admitted to practice law in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
