Capehart Scatchard Shareholder, Thomas D. Begley III, spoke on February 23, 2017 at the “Dementia and Its Impact on Clients, Attorneys and Judges” seminar sponsored by the New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education. The seminar was held at the Doubletree Guest Suites in Mount Laurel.
Mr. Begley’s presentation was entitled, “Legal Strategies for Financing Long Term Care.” During his presentation, Mr. Begley addressed the types and costs of long term care, the manner in which care is financed, core planning methods and concepts, income and gift tax considerations, and the role of the courts in planning.
A resident of Moorestown, Mr. Begley is the Chair of the Trusts and Estates Group at Capehart Scatchard. He is routinely recognized as one of the top lawyers in New Jersey by a variety of publications including Super Lawyers, SJ Magazine and South Jersey Magazine. He is a Certified Elder Law Attorney as recognized by the National Elder Law Foundation.
