Capehart Scatchard Shareholder Addresses New Jersey State Bar Association

On January 12, 2021 Capehart Scatchard attorney, Betsy G. Ramos, Esq. served as a panelist on “Elements, Strategies and Recent Developments Concerning Liquor Liability/Social Host Cases” at a continuing legal education webinar sponsored by the New Jersey State Bar Association.  Ms. Ramos focused her presentation on the recent New Jersey Supreme Court case of Estate of Narleski v. Gomes in which the Court imposed duty upon underage social hosts to refrain from providing a place for underage adults to consume alcoholic beverages, and who thereafter become intoxicated, drive a motor vehicle and injure or kill a third party.

Certified by the Supreme Court of New Jersey as a Civil Trial Attorney, Ms. Ramos, a Mansfield resident, is an Executive Committee Member and Co-Chair of the Litigation Department.  She is a seasoned litigator with over 30 years experience handling diverse matters and concentrates her practice in tort defense, business litigation,  insurance coverage,  estate litigation, employment litigation, and general litigation.
