Sanmathi (Sanu) Dev Named To NJBIZ Forty Under 40 List

Capehart Scatchard is proud to announce that Firm Shareholder Sanmathi (Sanu) Dev has been named to the 2022 class of NJBIZ’s Forty Under 40 listing of New Jersey’s top young business leaders.

On an annual basis, NJBIZ recognizes 40 business men and women under the age of 40 for their notable successes and demonstrations of strong leadership in the state.   An independent panel of judges selects individuals for their outstanding contributions to New Jersey, both in their industry and community.   A description of the methodology can be viewed here.

Ms. Dev and her fellow honorees will be featured in an upcoming NJBIZ supplement and will be recognized during a virtual awards ceremony on September 21, 2022.

Ms. Dev concentrates her practice on school law and labor and employment law.  She is experienced in representing, advising, and defending boards of education in all areas of school law including: labor and employment, special education, Section 504, student discipline and civil rights.  In connection with these representations, she is an experienced litigator before State and Federal courts, including the Office of Administrative Law.  Ms. Dev is the Chair of the Firm’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee, which seeks to facilitate the Firm’s efforts to achieve and maintain a diverse and inclusive workplace at every level of our organization.   Ms. Dev also serves as the Firm’s Hiring Shareholder.  She received her law degree from Rutgers Law School at Camden and her B.A. degree from Boston University.
