Rutgers Law School’s Minority Student Program

Capehart Scatchard hosted a panel discussion and breakfast on July 15, 2025, at its Mount Laurel office for students participating in Rutgers Law School’s Minority Student Program (MSP).

MSP is a nationally acclaimed and highly successful post-admission program that serves students of any race or ethnicity who are members of groups that are underrepresented in the legal profession, and who have faced discrimination or overcome social and economic hardships.

Panelists included Capehart Scatchard attorneys Ana Bauersachs, Sanmathi (Sanu) Dev, Tania Parra, Mary Ellen Rose, Jason Sikoryak, and Jaclyn Terranova, along with summer law clerks Jannine Huby and Courtney Todaro. The discussion focused on careers in private practices and offered insight into the panelists’ personal journeys through law school, judicial clerkships, and life at a law firm.

Also in attendance was Rhasheda Douglas, Assistant Dean of MSP. The event was organized by Capehart Scatchard’s Diversity & Inclusion Committee, led by Ms. Bauersachs, as part of the firm’s ongoing commitment to supporting diversity in the legal profession.

Capehart Scatchard hosted a panel discussion and breakfast on July 11, 2024, at its Mount Laurel office for individuals in Rutgers Law School’s Minority Student Program (MSP) and Pre-Law Academy.  MSP serves Rutgers Law School students who are members of groups that are underrepresented in the legal profession. Participants in the Pre-Law Academy are a cohort of undergraduate students and recent graduates who are interested in attending law school.

Capehart Scatchard attorneys, Ana Bauersachs, Sanmathi (Sanu) Dev, Alexandra Escobedo, Alexis Rose, Mary Ellen Rose, Jaclyn Terranova and summer law clerks, Victoria Adeleke and Uyen Nguyen, served as panelists participating in a discussion on law careers in private practice.  Also in attendance were Rhasheda Douglas, Assistant Dean of MSP, and Paris McPherson, Assistant Director of MSP. The panelists shared their experience with law school, judicial clerkships, and working at a law firm.  The event was hosted by Capehart Scatchard’s Diversity & Inclusion committee, which Ms. Bauersachs leads.
