Mt. Laurel, NJ – – Capehart Scatchard Shareholder, Ralph R. Smith, 3rd recently spoke at the “14th Annual Best Practices in Labor and Employment Law” seminar sponsored by Sterling Education Services, Inc. The seminar took place in Wilmington, DE.
Mr. Smith spoke on the related topics of (1) legal issues arising from the ever expanding use of “Social Media” Networking Sites in the workplace and (2) avoiding discrimination claims in general. His presentation focused on the increased employer’s risks associated with using social media networking sites for employment decisions and the best practices and policies to minimize those risks.
A Cherry Hill resident, Mr. Smith is Vice Chairman of the Labor and Employment Department. He concentrates his practice in the areas of labor and employment law, and complex commercial litigation. He is a frequent lecturer on labor and employment-related topics.
