Capehart Scatchard’s Healthcare Law Group Continues to Grow

Capehart Scatchard is pleased to announce that noted health law attorneys Sheila M. Mints, Esq. and Denise L. Sanders, Esq. have joined the firm’s Healthcare Law Department as Shareholders in its Mt. Laurel office.

Ms. Mints, a resident of Riverton, Co-chairs the Healthcare Law Group. She specializes in healthcare transactional matters, including shareholder and employment agreements, purchases and sales of medical practices, including ACO transactions, and practice mergers. Ms. Mints acts as general counsel to many large practices and ambulatory care facilities, assisting with transactional, tax, human resources mattes and negotiation with payors and vendors. An experienced tax lawyer, Ms. Mints represents her clients before the Internal Revenue Service, the federal Tax Court and state taxation departments in a variety of tax matters.

Ms. Sanders, a resident of Marlton, focuses her practice in the areas of healthcare regulatory compliance and privacy and security. Her extensive experience representing physicians and healthcare providers includes advising on self-referral laws, anti-kickback, licensure, scope of practice, collaborative arrangements, and HIPAA privacy, security and data breach issues. Her representative healthcare clients include individual and group practices, ambulatory surgery providers, ambulatory care facilities, urgent care, home care, and ancillary services providers. She also counsels public entities and businesses of all types regarding compliance with federal and state legal requirements related to data breach, identity theft, cybersecurity, and ecommerce.
