On March 7, 2023, Workers’ Compensation Department attorneys, Jaclyn Terranova and Saikrishna Srikanth, along with Bonnie Galam, founding attorney of The Galam Firm, presented a CLE entitled “Religious Diversity & Inclusion.” Workers’ Compensation Department Shareholder, Ana-Eliza Bauersachs, served as moderator for the panel discussion hosted by the Diversity & Inclusion Committee at the firm.
The participants provided an overview of the laws protecting religious diversity and inclusion in the workplace. Additionally, they reviewed relevant case law pertaining to religious accommodation and what happens when the freedom of religion conflicts with other protected rights. The panelists closed the CLE with a discussion on inclusive practices.
